About Me

Welcome to the new, and improved version of Heaven in Belgium. I am Jientje. "Jientje", like the boys name Gene, followed by "chu"? "Gene-chu", that's how you pronounce my name. Yes!!!!That's it!! So now you know huh? I am an addicted blogger. I was born and raised and am still living in Belgium. Yeah, the "this-is- Tuesday-so-this-must-be-Brussels" kind of Belgium .. There, you see? Maybe you couldn't find it on the map, but at least I'm trying to change that a little by sharing lots of pictures. I really love to cook and create new things, like this blog for instance. I am a mother,a grandmothe and a wife too! They say I'm a traveler, and a photographer. Well that's just what they say, I love to make pictures, but I am far from professional ... If my English is not perfect, that would be because it's my second language. I do hope you'll forgive me any possible misspellings or strange vocabulary ... Now, as a result of all of the above, I get way too little sleep and my days are always much too short!

Got to go!

Hi,

Just a quickie to let you know I'm doing well.
I really got to get to the airport in time, and Mr Google really is not cooperating!
Got to go,
really cannot afford to miss another plane.

No more plane missing!

So, are you taking notes along with your pictures so everything is still crisp and clear when you return home? You're doing so much in so little time that you're bound to forget details and I know you are going to have hundreds of photos to share.

We got to the airport two hours before Jientje's departure time, and I haven't heard otherwise, so I'm assuming she's airborne!

Thank you, Jientje, for a wonderful visit, lots of laughs and sweet moments. It was a joy spending time with you!

Now I'm going to NAP!

Sounds like I've missed a lot by not visiting you frequently these past weeks. Please - no more missed airplanes. That doesn't sound like fun. When you're travelling fun is the goal. Thanks for the pictures.

Jientje - first time on your blog. Just from reading your profile, I know I will love it! Enjoy your trip! English is also my second language. My first language, Afrikaans, has a similar sound as Belgian. (Eng: "I like reading your blog." Afr: "Ek hou daarvan om jou blog te lees.") Greetings from a sunny South Africa!

When did you say you would be home? Call when you get there. I am missing you. You have not been gone for so long before. :(

Becky said...

Ok, enough is enough! I am getting worried. It's not like you to be gone from here for so long. Are you okay??

Christine said...

That is it. I am going to go and visit your sister and see if you are alright.
