It’s been a while since I took this set of photos, I finally took some time to edit them today. I applied an “Agfa” action from PhotoScape for that aged look.
One beautiful Spring day when we were out in the country we came across this old farmhouse. The sign said it was for sale and that’s how I found the courage to snoop around a little. After all, if somebody came after me I could always say I was interested in buying it, no?
Looking back, I think there were still so many pictures left untaken. I should have taken a lot more. But I was a little bit nervous because I was trespassing and my husband – who was waiting in the car - did not know what I was doing!
All the doors were open so I gathered all my courage to have a peek inside as well. Tomorrow I’m going to take you inside …

You have a knack of finding the beauty in these old run-down places. I don't know why but the chair appealed to me. Loved all the angles that you took of it. I'm glad you took pictures inside as well, I can't wait to see them.

I would see a mess. You see beauty. I would think the owners owe you a commission of some sort and should use your photos in their sales info.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I can't believe you had the courage to go inside. I would have been to scared. you really captured the feel of the place. I can just imagine some one sitting in that chair taking a little rest from a days hard work..a small glass of wine or perhaps some tea.

ReplyDeleteOh, wow! What a find!! I came across a similar old abandoned farmhouse quite recently and took a few outside pictures, but it had been made into a bird nesting site, so I did not go inside.
