My friend Annie and I love to cook. About three or four times a year we get together, dig up some interesting recipes and spend an afternoon in the kitchen to prepare a gourmet menu. This is what we made a couple of weeks ago.
A little appetizer made of zucchini filled with bacon and goat’s cheese.
Appetizer number two : scampi with pink grapefruit, arugula and ginger.
The entree, langoustines and asparagus.
Lamb chops with a basil sauce
and as a dessert we had a vanilla bavarois with balsamic vinegar and chocolate sauce.
Macro Monday is hosted by Lisa at Lisa’s Chaos.

Everything looks so delicious. Great photos too!
Your foods always look so decorated--you could write a cookbook with photos and it would sell!
wow! I am so impressed! YES you should write a cookbook! Have you seen The Pioneer Woman? Her cookbook is amazing with all the pictures and step by stop instructions. You would be a huge hit in your country! And I would want to buy a copy! signed by you of course! Wonderful photos!
Well plated!
Lovely shots Jientje!
That sounds like a lot of fun! Cooking with friends, then sharing the meal with a glass of wine and great conversation - life doesn't get better than that.
It all looks good enough to it!
Delicious, elegant and gourmet-like: wonderful!! Congratulations to the cooks :)
Yummy - you're gourmet chefs!
Now I am hungry! It is definitely lunch time but I don't think my kitchen has anything that tasty in it. We're getting ready to leave on vacation and are down to bare shelves!
Sorry I am late getting here. I had a horrid headache yesterday and couldn't look at my computer screen.
