Welcome to the new, and improved version of Heaven in Belgium. I am Jientje. "Jientje", like the boys name Gene, followed by "chu"? "Gene-chu", that's how you pronounce my name. Yes!!!!That's it!! So now you know huh? I am an addicted blogger. I was born and raised and am still living in Belgium. Yeah, the "this-is- Tuesday-so-this-must-be-Brussels" kind of Belgium .. There, you see? Maybe you couldn't find it on the map, but at least I'm trying to change that a little by sharing lots of pictures. I really love to cook and create new things, like this blog for instance. I am a mother,a grandmothe and a wife too! They say I'm a traveler, and a photographer. Well that's just what they say, I love to make pictures, but I am far from professional ... If my English is not perfect, that would be because it's my second language. I do hope you'll forgive me any possible misspellings or strange vocabulary ... Now, as a result of all of the above, I get way too little sleep and my days are always much too short!

Macro Monday, Easter Chocolate Eggs

mm

In case you’re wondering, I still have not eaten the chocolate eggs I bought. They’re so pretty I just cannot gobble them down like that. They’re part of my Easter decoration for now. But I did have some fun photographing their lovely detail.
Don’t worry, you won’t put on weight just looking at these!

When I saw the pic of them the other day, I thought they were just painted eggs. I did not realize they were the chocolate ones you got. LOL! They look delicious! (((HUGS)))

Beautiful photos, Jientje! Little birds and eggs, what perfect representatives of Spring! I understand not wanting to eat the little works of art...I do the same with some small candles I possess, cannot burn them!

I can see why you don't have the heart to eat them. These chocolates look so pretty. Have a wonderful week, Jientje :)

The egge are delicious works of art and now they are being artfully used in your photos. The top picture with the birds is perfect.

I missed the last few days of your photos, but I am now all caught up and I love your new pictures. You see we are having March Madness in the USA now, and everything almost stops for the men's college basketball championship which is on TV. For some of us, it is like a religious holiday. That and the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Championship and the Masters Golf Championship are all like religious holidays in the USA. You see we have freedom of religion in the USA. : )

Looks great . Awesome!

The more I see these, the more I agree that I probably could not eat them either- too pretty.

I thought about what you said about worrying-not to do it until you need to. That was very good advice. I'm concentrating on taking it.

Thanks.

Those eggs are indeed beautiful, but I'm afraid I would have no trouble at all in eating them! LOL!

You got nice and close in there, didn't you? It almosts looks as if they have a texture like fur!
