I bought these cute little mini buckets for next to no money on a flea market many years ago, and they still make me smile. I use one to keep my toothpicks in, and the other two usually hold tiny bits and bobs like elastic bands or in this case a tiny block of alum and a mini nutmeg grater. Both of which I never use. I keep the alum to stop the bleeding when I cut my finger, but I always forget to use it! The little grater was packed with the nutmeg I bought and I cannot bring myself to throw it away!
I know, I know… I will throw it away after this post. I never really thought about it until now. ”Stuff” that lingers around can be such a bad habit!

well it makes a lovely photograph, so it's probably worth keeping :)
I like it. But, then again, I like ceramics and the color blue.
Just the kind of thing I would love to pick up at a flea market too. I love the way they make you smile years later. Money well spent I would say!
Welcome back to home sweet home. My RSS feed found you again.
Cute little buckets. I love them.
I love love love them!
they're lovely
and the fact that they were a find makes them more wonderful
I have a few treasures like that
They are cute little buckets. :) I keep a few things around just because they're cute, like Dennis, lol.
Jientje, I like your little pieces of pottery.
And since you got them MANY years ago, they could have become valuable. Checking on eBay might give you a starting place.
Happy MidWeek Blues. :)
..
Wonderful composition and DoF.
