I was getting the ingredients ready ready to bake apple pie when I noticed that the sunshine made the apples reflect in the top of my stove. I wanted to somehow include the cookbook in my picture and started to play with the light, the reflections and the shadows …

I love how you are able to take the simplest thing and make it into such a lovely picture. And, I love apple pie too. I wish I was there and then you could offer me a small piece and I would bring some nice tea for sharing...I think it is warmer there than here.
Very nice shot. I like the reflection of the apples.
I make a pretty good apple pie from scratch myself :-)
That really is a very pretty picture. I like the reflection of the apples in the stovetop & the shadows of them on the cookbook. The angle of the sun makes it look so inviting. (((HUGS)))
I think Hip Chick said it best. See, it is not the camera, but the person behind the camera that makes the great picture. I love your photographs of everyday life, and how you are able to elevate it to a place in our hearts. As for apple pie, I too love apple pie, but I would not be bashful about asking for a nice size piece of pie. : )
Lovely still life, jientje! Well done! Mine is up! :)
Not your usual reflection, but I like it. It's funny how these blog themes make you start seeing the world in a different way.
Happy weekend!
A beautiful creative shot. Love it.
Beautiful still life shot!
Lovely shot, and I'll bet the pie was delicious!
Very pro, very arty, very nice! Gonna make an apple pie now!
You not only captured the reflections of the apples, but also their silhouettes. And I can see your native language in the book.
I love this photo! It reminds me of a favorite children's book called, "How to make an apple pie and see the world."
Very Nice, also like the shadow of the apples against the Cook Book.
Beautiful! Did you make apple pie? I can just see your hubs watching you proudly do all this. :)
A beautiful vignette Jientje!
I love when I catch something that I think would look good and then stop and play. I know you had lots of fun.
I love that you always have something just a little different for us...no pressure now to keep that going. :)
Great reflections. I bet the pie taste delicious. It's funny I was just thinking about apple pie today. :)
ca presage une tres bonne tarte cette photo ;O)
Marvelous play of light, shadow and of course the reflections. I like the long series above too. Nice work. It feels so good to get out and about again after the long winter (hope it's really done).
The lighting is marvellous!
