About Me

Welcome to the new, and improved version of Heaven in Belgium. I am Jientje. "Jientje", like the boys name Gene, followed by "chu"? "Gene-chu", that's how you pronounce my name. Yes!!!!That's it!! So now you know huh? I am an addicted blogger. I was born and raised and am still living in Belgium. Yeah, the "this-is- Tuesday-so-this-must-be-Brussels" kind of Belgium .. There, you see? Maybe you couldn't find it on the map, but at least I'm trying to change that a little by sharing lots of pictures. I really love to cook and create new things, like this blog for instance. I am a mother,a grandmothe and a wife too! They say I'm a traveler, and a photographer. Well that's just what they say, I love to make pictures, but I am far from professional ... If my English is not perfect, that would be because it's my second language. I do hope you'll forgive me any possible misspellings or strange vocabulary ... Now, as a result of all of the above, I get way too little sleep and my days are always much too short!

Ruby Tuesday, Raindrops

It's back to rainy days here in Belgium. We've had a fair share of sun and blue skies, but our Belgian Mother Nature seems to need a drink every now and then! ;-)
But that's okay, that still does not stop me from taking pictures ...
There is a lot of magic, even in a tiny raindrop.

My rubies for today, rubies in a raindrop...

Look for more Ruby Tuesday pictures at Work of the Poet.

Ahhhh... Jientje, These are just beautiful! We've been getting a bit of rain lately, so I need to get out and see what I can take photos of...Everything is so beautiful right now. If a bit {{{cold}}}!!

Your raindrops are wonderful! Too bad you don't get the mix of rain and sunshine that we do. Love these photos. You can look into your raindrops and see a whole world.

The raindrop with the spider's web was nicely done. Do you get the Sun Showers we get from time to time. It can rain in one part of the city and the sun can be shining in another.

Thank you for sharing

PS ~ In answer to your question on my blog Jientje, Yes I am most anxious to get back to work.

Cheers

Bill

Very poetic. I can imagine you publishing a book with your pictures and writings.

Magical raindrops indeed!
I'm a total sucker for them!
I love it when they show tiny worlds like in yours.
Well done!

Beautiful shot.
So much detail. It reflects what's behind it.

You know what they say. If you keep getting closer and closer to something, eventually you get lost in it and it disappears.
Now that's philosophy ! lol

You truley have spring. Everything looks so green and fresh. Things are still rather brown here with just a hint of green. Some rain would be good although some places are still getting snow. Burr!

Those are just gorgeous! So very spring-like, too.

Simple. Complicated. Lovely.

Raindrops and spiders give such a beautful result in photography !
I also prefer to go to the market when the sun is shining. Sunday was an exception. I knew they had strawberries for 2 € the kilo and really excellent and then I also buy shampoo (Fructis) and mousse (Schwarzkopf) for 3 € ! It's so cheap there that it would be a crime to buy it at Carrefour or Delhaize ! Train tickets on weekends are only 4 €.

Wow, Jientje! RED and raindrops and spider webs. All very close-up and sharp. Great Ruby Tuesday post! :)
