A Walk in the Park

We visited the arboretum in Kalmthout today where the witch hazel shrubs AKA Hammamelis are now in full bloom. I had no idea Winter could be this beautiful!




It sure added a little bit of color to this very gray day.




It almost looks like Spring, doesn't it?

Ruby Tuesday, from Provence with love ...

Poppies are my favorite summer flowers, I just love to photograph them. They're always so photogenic, no matter where you find them. I haven't seen too much of them this year though, but the lavender was already in full bloom, so I guess this kind of makes up for the lack of poppies!

It's been a while, I know ...
I haven't spent as much time as I should have behind my computer, because life sort of took over. I was just too busy to get anything posted!
We just got back from our annual holiday in Provence, France about a week ago and I took loads of pictures there. Now, it would be a real shame not to share them. That's why I joined




today, with a random selection of photos from our holiday...
We had a real wonderful time ( as always), I really love everything about Provence ...

Kim, over at Frogpondrock hosts this new meme called Sunday Selections and I decided to play along this week.

The first signs of Spring always make me want to grab my camera and shoot a lot of pictures. Suddenly my patio is an interesting playground again!
I haven't been blogging as much as I used to before and these photos could easily get lost in my archives. I don't want to let this happen, that's why I'm playing along this week.

Ruby Tuesday, Red Poppies

 

There is no other flower that reminds me of Spring and Summer so much like poppies do. They’re my favorite wild flowers. I photographed this little alley in Ménerbes. I took a couple of photographs but now I find I can’t decide which version I like best?
