Welcome to the new, and improved version of Heaven in Belgium. I am Jientje. "Jientje", like the boys name Gene, followed by "chu"? "Gene-chu", that's how you pronounce my name. Yes!!!!That's it!! So now you know huh? I am an addicted blogger. I was born and raised and am still living in Belgium. Yeah, the "this-is- Tuesday-so-this-must-be-Brussels" kind of Belgium .. There, you see? Maybe you couldn't find it on the map, but at least I'm trying to change that a little by sharing lots of pictures. I really love to cook and create new things, like this blog for instance. I am a mother,a grandmothe and a wife too! They say I'm a traveler, and a photographer. Well that's just what they say, I love to make pictures, but I am far from professional ... If my English is not perfect, that would be because it's my second language. I do hope you'll forgive me any possible misspellings or strange vocabulary ... Now, as a result of all of the above, I get way too little sleep and my days are always much too short!

Macro Monday, Pretty in Pink ...

It's Monday morning, and it's a beautiful morning. I am being rewarded for all the heavy work I put into my patio garden yesterday. The sun is shining, there's a gorgeous blue sky, everything is in full bloom. I bought a couple of new hanging baskets, gave the other plants some extra loving care and attention and it all looks gorgeous. The most stunning eye catcher of the week is my Rhododendron in full bloom. The flowers evolve from dark pink to the most delicate creamy pink you've ever seen. Unfortunately, they do not last all that long, I wish I could keep it the way it is now, but alas. But that's when the camera comes in ...
It's wonderful to get up early in the morning, grab the camera and capture that beauty, and share it here with you.
So there, a couple of my finest Rhododendron macro's for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy ...

Look for more Macro Monday pictures at Lisa's Chaos.
If you enjoyed these, you might also enjoy my pictures for the scavenger hunt.
I am currently in a neck by neck race, so I'll probably need a couple more votes, I don't know.

Anyway, my own pictures are here. And if you want to vote for me, click here or on the pink button below.

If you like my photography, please please please hop on over to Sweetsauer's and vote for me please? I'm not going to beg for this again after this week is over. But I will beg and plead for a vote every day of the week until May 7 ! So brace yourselves!! (Or vote for me?)

Wonderful pictures again. I'm so glad I know what Macro's are thanks to you of course. I visited another site Willow's Cottage and left a comment saying you taught me what a macro was. Anyway my Belgian Bombshell...another great photo session.
