I always enjoy getting flowers, but it’s a pity they wither so fast. So what I usually do when I receive a nice bouquet is to immortalize their beauty by photographing them.
The floral arrangement my husband offered me for Mother’s day makes a perfect subject for a Macro Monday post, don’t you think?
Enjoy …

Ah - that's beautiful! What an unusual flower arrangement! Subtle colouring is stunning!
Have not had a chance to comment on your previous posts - what a treat your photos are - all of them!!
Lovely flowers for a lovely lady who is very talented with her camera!
What a beautiful bouquet.
Marvelous!! such gorgeous flowers...
It is special Jientje...with our first glimpse of it with the gelatin packet...I thought then how sweet, but also how unique it was with the curved stems and berries.
Truly beautiful!!! You really managed to immortalise a beautiful and original bouquet.
Yes, all of the above comments covered it. I liked this bouquet, very unique. Lots of beautiful things in Belgium.
I could have used your eyes to photograph my sunflowers. I would have loved to have seen them through your eyes. Who knows what I would be painting now?
These are beautiful flowers...I am a part time florist and love to see different flowers from different regions!

What a thoughtful husband. It's an exceptionally nice bouquet.
It is a beautiful arrangement. It reminded me immediately of an old fashioned lady's hat, with the flat leaves as the brim and the flowers as the crown decorations. I was particularly taken with the use of berries and seed pods with the beautiful roses and tulips. Thanks for sharing it!
Lovely arrangement and what a nice husband :)
How many years?
Excellent. When I try to get that close, the picture gets grainy. That's because my camera does not have a good zoom, right? You know I just have that little point and shoot Nikon. Just wondering if it is me or my camera.
These are lovely.
I DO think! It is such an unusual arrangement that it certainly needed to be photographed... and you, of course, did it properly!
Flowers are even more beautiful when you get that close.
Great shots.
Oh me too - beautiful!! Lucky you!! Beautiful shots!!! I love arrangements with interesting things!! Sarah
Your pictures are absolutely fabulous. As are you.
This is one of the most unusual (and I mean that in a GOOD way) floral arrangements that I've ever seen.
Fabulous photo's Jientje!
Hello Jientje, Wow what a great display. Wonderful shots. :-)
They are beautiful! Well done :)
yes it does, it is very original.
Beautiful my friend. Absolutely gorgeous :)
that is so beautiful! Is this the shot that came with the gelatin (?) from yesterday? I love the close ups - so alive.
What an interesting group of flowers. Of course I recognized the rose....but the other flowers are unfamiliar to me. How beautiful...I love getting fresh cut flowers, even if they only last a few days and cost a BUNDLE! It just shows me, that money is no object when it comes to showing how much you love someone....(sigh)nice....
Lovely arrangement Jientje you're lucky to have a great husband with wonderful taste. Andyour right it did make a great floral still subject!
I've never seen an arrangement like that! Love that it's full of green AND buds!
It makes me want to take my paints out and paint these beautiful roses.
Oh my what a beautiful arrangement of flowers. Great caputers Smiles Barbara
