About Me

Welcome to the new, and improved version of Heaven in Belgium. I am Jientje. "Jientje", like the boys name Gene, followed by "chu"? "Gene-chu", that's how you pronounce my name. Yes!!!!That's it!! So now you know huh? I am an addicted blogger. I was born and raised and am still living in Belgium. Yeah, the "this-is- Tuesday-so-this-must-be-Brussels" kind of Belgium .. There, you see? Maybe you couldn't find it on the map, but at least I'm trying to change that a little by sharing lots of pictures. I really love to cook and create new things, like this blog for instance. I am a mother,a grandmothe and a wife too! They say I'm a traveler, and a photographer. Well that's just what they say, I love to make pictures, but I am far from professional ... If my English is not perfect, that would be because it's my second language. I do hope you'll forgive me any possible misspellings or strange vocabulary ... Now, as a result of all of the above, I get way too little sleep and my days are always much too short!

Ruby Tuesday, Famous Last .. Pictures

Can you imagine next week it will be one whole year since the first Ruby Tuesday?
How time flies!!

Although I wish it would fly today!!! I'm sitting here biting my fingernails, waiting for that phone call telling me to come get my camera!! I hope they'll call me SOON!!! Please please please? I'm so anxious to get my new camera, does it show? Hmm, I guess it does.
Life just is not the same without it, it's terrible!!

As soon as I get that phone call I'll do an update.
No update means no camera. Okay, let's not go there huh? Aww!

I've got two more pictures from that tragic "last walk" with my camera, and I saved them for this Ruby Tuesday. I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

( And now I'm off to bite my fingers some more! Holy Moses, I'm so desperate I could bite my toenails!)

Look for more Ruby Tuesday pictures at Work of the Poet.
UPDATE: I just got off the phone with the shop. It looks like the camera is out of stock at Canon
Belgium right now. With a long weekend ahead, this news just made me loose all hope I'm still going to get it this week. It's going to be a long week. Oh and I know it's not the end of the world, I know ...

Great red and gorgeous countryside! This was perfect for Ruby Tuesday.

Its really okay if you bite your own toenails while waiting for your camera -- just don't bite anyone else's! And think how I felt -- Amoeba made me wait almost 6 weeks for my camera lenses! (Thus insuring I would be exceptionally careful with the new ones!)

Beautyful, doesn't look tragic at all ! Where the heck did you order this camera ?? I would have died already if I had to wait that long. Patience has never been my forte ! I hope for you the phone call had come already before you could read my comment !!

Beautiful pictures as always. I love that fence all by itself being red in that field. Very well done. I'll keep everything crossed for your camera. I hope they call real soon. Aloha my friend :)

Love the pictures, got my fingers and toes crossed for you getting your new camera soon.

I can't wait for you to get that camera. BUT I do believe you could use a throw-away camera and still take beautiful pix. You're that good :)

Relax the camera will come when it comes.
Sort your old pictures. Keep busy.
The pictures for today are great. There are some old places in Upper Michigan that look like that. I found that very interesting.

Beautiful photographs. I wonder if Canon realize what good publicity you are for their cameras - and what bad publicity this is - the fact that you STILL don't have your new camera.
