About Me

Welcome to the new, and improved version of Heaven in Belgium. I am Jientje. "Jientje", like the boys name Gene, followed by "chu"? "Gene-chu", that's how you pronounce my name. Yes!!!!That's it!! So now you know huh? I am an addicted blogger. I was born and raised and am still living in Belgium. Yeah, the "this-is- Tuesday-so-this-must-be-Brussels" kind of Belgium .. There, you see? Maybe you couldn't find it on the map, but at least I'm trying to change that a little by sharing lots of pictures. I really love to cook and create new things, like this blog for instance. I am a mother,a grandmothe and a wife too! They say I'm a traveler, and a photographer. Well that's just what they say, I love to make pictures, but I am far from professional ... If my English is not perfect, that would be because it's my second language. I do hope you'll forgive me any possible misspellings or strange vocabulary ... Now, as a result of all of the above, I get way too little sleep and my days are always much too short!

Ruby Tuesday, Only One

So many roads we’ve travelled
So many trucks I’ve seen
But can you believe
… only ONE Coca Cola truck?

They were probably all called back to their stations to get decorated for the Holidays?

If there is one thing you can not say about the States, it is that they don't try to sell you everything. This land, the USA, is the Mecca of branding and marketing. And, some times, even the commercials are very good.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen one of those trucks in quite some time. I wonder why?

I saw Coca Cola advertisement even in the deepest hole of the desert, where nothing else was besides sand and "Coca Cola" !

and all this time I have been leaving out mince pies and whiskey on Christmas Eve and now I see that Santa drinks Coca Cola haha.

Beautiful pic Jientje, I feel I am standing by the road side. Kathy.

Perfect Ruby Tuesday photo! I LOVE drinking Coke, even though I'm not supposed to. ;-)

Those are the most awesome Coke trucks I've ever seen! But boy would I have hated to be the one setting up all those lights for the commercial.
We see pepsi and Coke trucks all the time where I live becuase we only live a few blocks from their warehouse.
Great picks for Ruby Tuesday.
If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.

I guess they only need to add the green cause they sure have the red thing going! Ya know, I am not sure if I have ever seen a coke truck. I probably have and it just never registered in my brain.

Great shot...love those trucks!
Have a coke and a smile :) (not sure if you know but this phrase is from an old ad for Coke products that has my football team, the Steelers, as it's main characters. look for it on you tube :)

I have not seen one of those trucks in a long time. I wonder how the Coke gets to the store. It is always there.

That is one gorgeous red truck. I have been to the USA 4 times and lived there for a year and never got to see a Coca Cola truck. So you must have had the lucky fairy with you when you were there :)
