I’m late!
I got home very late last night, and I had a very busy morning today, and that’s the reason I have not updated my blog yet. I’m floating on a pink cloud today, because the tickets for my trip to the States have been booked and I can start counting the days until the end of October when I will make a tour around the States and meet some of my Blogger friends. Sometimes, wishes can come true, and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends. I’m very much looking forward to meet Melli and Ella in Washington, Terri in Portland, Quilly, OC and Thom in Hawaii, and Lou and who knows who else in Chicago! I’m thrilled, I’m one of the luckiest girls in the world!
It’s going to be one hell of an adventure, I’m going to be traveling all by myself for the first time in my life. I think I will just have to trust the pilots. They will know where they’re going even when they are taking me to Chicago on Friday the thirteenth! It’s a good thing I’m not superstitious!
Perhaps I’m going to have to change some of the text in the “about me” on my profile. It should say I AM a traveler now …
On to the other business of the day . Like I promised, time for some awards!
Heidi from 2Thinks to Share gave me this lovely award a while back.
Getting an award is like getting a compliment, it’s a token of friendship, a virtual hug… I’m very happy to be able to pass this one on for the second time.
The winners are:
Rebecca at The Dusty Cellar
Lisa at Lisa’s Chaos
and Jan at Murietta365
A couple of days later, I received this one …. from Thom.
The rules to this one are :
1)Show the award in your blog.
2)Link back to the blog that tagged you.
3)Pass on the award to 8 blogs that you love. (Since this award has been around for a while feel free to pass it to as many or as few as you want.)
4)Inform the bloggers that they have been awarded.
5)Take your time there’s no pressure, but try to check out the other awarded blogs.
I’m going to pass this one on to:
Avril from Mom’s Meanderings
Barbara at Whispering Photo’s
Leora at Here in HP
Kaye at The Road Goes Ever On
2Thinks at 2 Thinks To Share
Paz at A New York Minute
Kirby3131 at The Goat
and Dianne at Do You See What I See
I hope your day will turn out to be just as good as mine is …
Enjoy the weekend!

I am so exited! How come it can't be sooner! I hate waiting!
I wish that there was some way that I could meet up with you at one of your stops! Maybe you could email me and let me know what dates you will be and where. I have a wedding on the 10th in Florida and then a reception to attend in NY in late October. Oh Jientje, it would be soooo much fun to be able to get together!
thank you for the "compliment" and the "virtual hug". Your blog has always been one of my very favorites :)
Your trip sounds fantastic. The States are so large, I'm in California, there's no way to see, or visit everyone in one trip.
Thank you for the award. You're so sweet.
WOOT...can't wait. Yup, you are going to have to change your profile after that trip. What a world wind adventure. Congrats on the awards and everyone you passed them on too. :)
Ack! How ironic that you'll meet stateside bloggers before we meet probably. I hope you have sooo much fun on your trip and when you get back we definitely need to meet up. I'll stop being a hermit, I promise.
Hah :D
I'm so happy for you :)
Start counting :)
And I do envy you a tiny bit for meeting them all :)
But you well deserve it :)!
WhooHooo Jientje your coming to America!!, what wonderful news, you will have the time of your life, oh I wish you could stop off in San Fran it's not that far from Portland lol. Many congrats on all of your beautiful awards and to those who received them from you, happy weekend, Kathy.
Congrats on your awards and THANK YOU so much for passing them along to us. Thank you!
Your trip to the U.S. sounds like it will be a LOT of fun. ;-)
Paz
What a fun adventure...enjoy yourself and take a lot of fotos! (I am sure you will :)
Can't wait to hear all about it...

Thanks for the award...it is my first and made my day!! I can't wait to see your photos of your trip to the states! I love your photos. I am happy for you to be able to make this trip. I will have my first trip outside of the states this year-to Germany, Switzerland and Austria!
Have a great trip! New Jersey is pretty dull compared to Washington State and Hawaii, but feel free to come by little ole Highland Park to visit.
Thanks for the award. I had to look up de Ouro, and I found it in a Porteguese dictionary - of gold. Sweet!
Awww, Thanks so much for the lovely award :)
I'm so excited for you to come to the United States. You will have a great time! I've taken a few road trips across the US - we've got a lot of real nice folks out there. You've chosen some great spots to stop, too! Enjoy!!!
That's wonderful Jientje ! Why are you going so late in October ? Is there a reason for it ?
I have been so often to the States when my aunt and uncle still lived in Madison Wisc. (now they are dead) For 8 years we have travelled almost everywhere in the States for 2 weeks and 2 weeks resting at my aunt's. That will be quite an adventure for you !!
Oh Jientje- thank you for the hug. I hug you back! I've daydreamed what it would be like to actually meet blogfriends in real life- and here, you, will be doing just that! That is so adventureous and exciting. How close will you come to Grand Rapids? Probably Chicago- 3 hours away. When will you be in Chicago? I took the train to Chicago and went shopping and had lunch in Lincoln Park- earlier this summer with my sisters. It was the best time!
I enjoyed your pictures, again. I took some of the market this weekend, too. I haven't even looked at mine, yet. :)
Happy flying Jientje and if there is a way to tell me when and where you will be in Chicago, perhaps I can take the train and meet you there!
October? I can make it my birthday present.
Heidi
Congrats and thank you! *smooch*
But wow, you are on an adventure! Have a blast, stay safe and come back with photos. :)
PS - I would come to Chicago to meet up with you. I'm only about 5 hours away.
Wow, that will be one exciting trip for you to see the U.S.. It will be cooler then, right now you would have to wilt in the heat and humidity.
@ Quilly: I'm counting the days too, but I don't want it to be over too soon, the anticipation is nice too.
@ Libby: That would be nice, but like Jan says, the States are so big!
@ kaye: Thank you, you're welcome!
@ Jan: Sad, but it's true.
@ Thom: Yes,I will. Looking forward to meet you!
@ Lilacspecs: Are you going to wait until I get back? Ah come on!!
@ NicoleB: I am counting, and I'm so looking forward to this too!
@ Mama: I'm going to have the time of my life, yes!
@ Paz: Oh I'm sure it will be!
@ Ballerina Girl: I will! My husband suggested I'd take both camera's, just to make sure! LOL!
@ Rebecca: Your first award! WOOT! Much deserved my friend! And welcome to Europe, I'm sure YOU are going to enjoy your trip too!
@ Leora: That's so sweet of you! I wish I could grow my own wings and fly and meet up with everybody ... *sigh*
@ Kirby3131: You're welcome! Oh and I will meet some wonderful people there, I KNOW I'm going to love it!
@ Gattina: Yes, quite an adventure! The reason I'm going so late in the season is because of the weather in HGawaii. Quilly pointed out to me that it would probably be too hot for me now, and the temperatures are more reasonable in November, that's why!
@ 2Thinks: I will be in Chicago on November 14th, 15th 16th. Leaving for Brussels via Washington early in the morning on the 18th. Maybe we could organize a blogmeeting in Chicago. That was one of the things Lou suggested too. That might be a great idea?
@ Lisa: Maybe we could organize a blogger meet up in Chicago? That would be awesome!
@ seedsofnutrition: That's right, it would!
