Every now and again, there's a song in my head when I make a post ...
Please click on the radio to hear the music.
Trust me. You'll love it!

About Me
- Jientje
- Antwerp, Belgium
- Welcome to the new, and improved version of Heaven in Belgium. I am Jientje. "Jientje", like the boys name Gene, followed by "chu"? "Gene-chu", that's how you pronounce my name. Yes!!!!That's it!! So now you know huh? I am an addicted blogger. I was born and raised and am still living in Belgium. Yeah, the "this-is- Tuesday-so-this-must-be-Brussels" kind of Belgium .. There, you see? Maybe you couldn't find it on the map, but at least I'm trying to change that a little by sharing lots of pictures. I really love to cook and create new things, like this blog for instance. I am a mother,a grandmothe and a wife too! They say I'm a traveler, and a photographer. Well that's just what they say, I love to make pictures, but I am far from professional ... If my English is not perfect, that would be because it's my second language. I do hope you'll forgive me any possible misspellings or strange vocabulary ... Now, as a result of all of the above, I get way too little sleep and my days are always much too short!

Great Close Ups of the critters, Whatever they are they look like they could leave a nasty sting.
So the bugs like lavender fields too!
Are they doing what I think they're doing?
Eeeew!
So they hide in the tall grass too. That is a very good material to start "the birds and the bees" talk with you rising teenager :)Beautiful! Great catch!
All around beautiful captures! The bugs the grass and the lighting all flowing to make a perfect shot!
Bug porn... Only YOU Jientje! LOL! Actually, they are AWESOME photo's -- and a very lucky catch!
wonderful and colorful detail and light!
hehe, Great photos and wonderful version of that song Jientje. Kathy.
Incredible.
Did you blush? Did they?
ooops, of course it would be a wonderful version of the song, it's the ORIGINAL rofl, I always think of the Stones or Etta James, so many great people have released that song. I found this long list on wiki. now I have to play them all on youtube to see which one I like the best!!.
Chuck Berry, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, the Grateful Dead, Buddy Guy, The Kinks, Shadows of Knight, Robben Ford, Van Morrison, Lou Rawls, The Righteous Brothers, The Yardbirds, The Animals, Janis Siegel, Meat Puppets, Cold Blood, April Wine, Louise Hoffsten, Foghat, Lee Aaron, Nanette Workman, Smith, James Blood Ulmer, Livin' Blues and Lloyd Spiegel. Kathy.
Love the addition of music to your last two posts! Not sure who was more intense...your bug lovers or your boules players! That guy with the long hair looks wicked!
I can just see those bugs "doing it" after they get done on those flowers for some reason. You naughty woman you...I love it...excellent photos. This was an absolutely fantastic post :)
Oh yippee! Making yet MORE bugs. Ain't life grand?
Hmmm, the birds do it, the bees do it ... and Jientje photographs it! So what does that make her? Hmmmm? ;)
Great capture.
Oh that is so funny!

Wow....mating on flowers...who wouldn't want to?
Ha
You are always in the right place at the right time...or in the right place at the wrong time...! or...in the wrong place at the right time, what ever place you were in once again you captured the MOMENT! great capture!
What a, uhm... romantic(?) setting. Hehe.
Ewwww.
That aside - those are beautiful photos - the details are so crisp.
So what is your secret...how do you get all the little critters to stay still so that you can photograph them?
What a sharp eye! Great macro shots. Have a wonderful week, Jientje :)
LOL! I thought that was one creepy bug in the first photo - then I scrolled on! Egads! Two creepy looking critters! :) Great work on them!
@ Bill: I don't think they were in the mood to sting ME, they were far too "wrapped up " into what they were doing!
@ Wanda: Who wouldn't?
@ Korie: Yes, they are.
@ ellievelli: that's a good idea, LOL!
@ Izzy n Emmy: Thank you!
@ Melli: Heehee, oh but believe me, they're not the only two critters I caught in the act. It must have been the mating season or something, can't explain!
@ Tammie Lee: Thank you.
@ Mama: glad you liked it!
@ Nessa: I didsn't. Don't know about them though.
@ Mama: I had no idea there were so many versions. I happened top come across this one, and I loved it.
@ Evelyn: I'm glad you liked them both. I love to add music now and again. The guy with the long hair was not at all wicked. He had a good heart.
@ Thom: LOL, me naughty? Isangelous I am, with a little twist. ROFL!
@ Robynn: It is!
@ Quilly: ... a critter porn photographer? LOL!
@ Jacki: LOL!
@ The retired one: I thought the setting was perfect.
@ Linda Higgins: LOL at your comment! It was the mating season I guess, I found more than just those two. Maybe I should specialize in this kind of photography huh?
@ Tranquility: I thought the setting was pretty romantic yes. No nasty odours spoiling this little love game?
@ Libby: Good question!
@ Rosidah: You too Rosidah!
@ Lisa: I had fun!
It's a wonderful macro!
Superb shots! And a lucky find too!!
