About Me

Welcome to the new, and improved version of Heaven in Belgium. I am Jientje. "Jientje", like the boys name Gene, followed by "chu"? "Gene-chu", that's how you pronounce my name. Yes!!!!That's it!! So now you know huh? I am an addicted blogger. I was born and raised and am still living in Belgium. Yeah, the "this-is- Tuesday-so-this-must-be-Brussels" kind of Belgium .. There, you see? Maybe you couldn't find it on the map, but at least I'm trying to change that a little by sharing lots of pictures. I really love to cook and create new things, like this blog for instance. I am a mother,a grandmothe and a wife too! They say I'm a traveler, and a photographer. Well that's just what they say, I love to make pictures, but I am far from professional ... If my English is not perfect, that would be because it's my second language. I do hope you'll forgive me any possible misspellings or strange vocabulary ... Now, as a result of all of the above, I get way too little sleep and my days are always much too short!

Weekend Reflection, So Much to See!

James, over at Newton Area Photo hosts a new meme called Weekend Reflections.

This is what James wants us to do:

1)Post a reflection photograph
2)After I post my Weekend Reflections photo, add your name, country and link to MckLinky
3)Be sure that your link goes directly to your Weekend Reflections post.
4)Comment on other Weekend reflections participant's blogs.
Feel free to be creative. Remember this meme is for any type of reflection.

I got this "fish eye' reflection in the mirror of the school bus on the parking lot of Great Falls.
I've never seen any mirrors like this one before, but this looks like a very clever idea to me?

By the way, this is a non edited, straight out of the camera picture.
I lost access to my little notebook for now, we're going to have to try to figure out if it died on me or not. Let's hope it did not?

Other than that, I'm still having the time of my life, so much to see and explore, it's really overwhelming!
I had tons of fun photographing kids doing "trunk or treat" yesterday. I took a gazillion pictures. To give you an idea how much I made ... I wore out three sets of batteries on my camera and ended up making an additional 280 pictures with Melli's camera! ROFLMAO!!!

Have a great weekend!

That mirror you used to take your reflection saves a lot of children's lives. Yes, it is a clever idea, and on a school bus it really pays off. Finally got to Melli's blog to see the rest of the pics. You are in a beautiful part of the country, but I can't figure it out.

Wow! That's a lot of photos! Are you going to have to purchase more storage drives?

I'm so glad you are enjoying your time!

When you're in Portland, you will see lots of busses and maybe one that has been sold by my brother who owns a local bus company there.

Wow! How many video cards did you bring for your camera? And it's going to take HOURS to download everything.

What kind of batteries does your camera take? I'll make certain there's a truckload of them waiting for you in your room.

If you don't get your laptop to work, we have a desktop PC and two Mac laptops here, so we can all "comp" at the same time. And the PC has Skype plus I just bought a camera, so you can talk to & see your hubby.

Wow, You'll have enough pictures to post every day for a year. I'm glad you're having a good time. Happy Halloween.

Hello Jientje. Did you forget to add this to MckLinky or maybe I missed it. I like this shot very much there is lots to see and it looks quite unusual. I just baught more camera memory for my upcoming European trip. I think my camera might over heat from too many pictures when I'm there.
